Beginning Quilting $15/session

Learn the basics of quilting! Take just 1 session or take them all.
Session 1: Intro to quilting tools, reviewing the pattern, using a rotary cutter and rulers.
Session 2: Review Seam Allowances, begin piecing your quilt top
Session 3: Complete quilt top
Session 4: Sandwich, quilt, & bind.

Women of Courage BOM will bring us incredible stories of women from our past who have made a difference in our world. Our BOM includes the pattern and fabric to complete the 98” x 98” Quilt Top. Fabric is from Nancy Gere’s Women of Courage collection for Windham Fabrics. Designed by Denise Lipscomb of Common Threads.

If you can make a zig-zag stich on your sewing machine, then you can learn to create bowls, placemats, and coasters. We are going to coil and sew ordinary utility cording into a neat bowl. Class fee includes a choice of hand-dyed cord. Bring a spool of your favorite variegated thread.
